BushcraftZ 2014 |
One year ago the first BushcraftZ blog was posted online.
The aim was to post one blog every week, showcasing a different project of
craft. I had a lot of fun over the past year and also shared some of my own
designs and patterns. For the one year
anniversary of the BushcraftZ I wanted to try something new to me. I decided to
try my hand at Amigurumi, a Japanese art of knitting or crochet small, stuffed
animals and interesting fantasy creatures. The most important factor in this
art is to achieve ‘CUTE’. After trying out a pattern from a crochet magazine
and being inspired by countless creative ‘pinned’ Amigurumi figurines and critters
I decided to go on my own and design my first Amigurumi pet, Fritz the striped
Dachshund. Traditionally patterns are crochet in a spiral. My pattern design is
not entirely traditional. In order to achieve clear stripes this pattern is
worked in separate rounds. I hope you enjoy the cheeky Fritz.
