BushcraftZ 2015 |
Today is the first blog for 2015. May this year be filled
with good health, love, peace, inspiration and creativity. Today I share an idea
that I have been thinking about for almost all of 2014 but never got around to
try it out. I wanted to transform a long sleeved T-shirt into a cardigan and in
the process make it add a bit of creativity. With a few printed cotton lycra
fabric remnants were as creative inspiration and handful of mismatching buttons
the new cardigan turned out to be very pleasing.
Materials:
- Long sleeved T-shirt washed
- Cotton lycra fabric or T-shirt fabric
- An assortment of buttons
- General sewing equipment and matching thread
Method:
- Place the T-shirt on you work surface and determine the center front and center back. Measure the length of the front and back at this point and
note the measurements.
BushcraftZ 2015 - Cut the T-shirt in half though both the front and back
panels.
BushcraftZ 2015 - Cut the cotton lycra into strips. One for the center back panel and two for the two front panels. Use front and back measurements to determine the size of the panels, remember to add seam allowance to app measurements before cutting the panels.
- Sew the two front panels and back panel in place and use
buttons to decorate the two front panels to complete the cardigan.
