DIY: Gardener’s Greeting card

BushcraftZ 2014
Materials:
  • 3 x A4 white cardstock
  • Brown inkpad
  • Daisy flower punch
  • Craft knife and cutting board, scissors, ruler, double-sided craft tape and, padded double sided craft tape
  • Template (download PDF)

Method:
  1. Fold one sheet of A4 cardstock in half for the base of the card and set aside for step 6.
  2. Copy the template onto one sheet of A4 cardstock.
  3. Layer 1: Cut out the pattern piece as indicated on the template for Layer 1a. Use the brown inkpad to highlight the edges. Cut out three spirals (Template: Layer 1b) from the cardstock and also highlight all edges. Stick two small pieces of padded double sides tape to the back of each spiral. Position the tape on the outer edges so that the centre of the spiral is free. Stick the spirals onto the circles of Layer 1a. Gently pull out the centre of each spiral to create a layered effect.

  4. Layer 2: Cut a 18.1 cm x 6.5 cm piece from the remaining cardstock to form the base of the second layer. Punch out at least 50 to 60 small daisy shapes or cut out flowers freestyle by hand. Ink the edges for contrast. Use double sided tape to layer the daisies onto top 1/3 layer 2.
